Orbital Learning

Orbital Learning is a nonprofit in New Westminster, BC. It helps autistic and ADHD adults keep good jobs. It also works with the people around them: employers, colleges and universities, employment mediators, and benefits providers.

What we built

We built the site in 2018 and still manage it. Our name has been in the footer since at least 2019.

What's on the site today:

• One path for each audience. Individuals, employers, post-secondary, employment mediation, and benefits providers each get their own page and next step.
• A sign-up route for their self-paced training program, which runs on an outside learning platform.
• A contact form that asks who you are, with an option for a support person writing on someone's behalf.
• A way to leave a voice message instead of filling in the form.
• A skip-to-content link for people who use a keyboard or screen reader.

Why it matters

The site has to speak to very different people. A job seeker, an HR manager, and a college counsellor all land on the same home page. Each one finds their own door in one click.
